New Cryostat with Vector Magnet

As a new addition to our experimental setup, our new cryostation with superconducting vector magnet has arrived. The setup is capable reaching temperatures in the range from 320 K down to 2 K. Magnetic field up to 1T can be applied to the sample space in every direction. Now the setup will be prepared and will be tested. We expect the setup running at full capacity soon and look forward to add the ability to apply field in any possible direction to our measurement techniques. Especially promising is the ability to connect the temperature measurement with our time-resolved setup.

The nickname for the cryostation was chosen as VIKTOR.

MMM 2019 conference in Las Vegas

Martin Veis and Jakub Zázvorka, together with several students attended the international MMM conference in November 2019. All participants had contributions in form of a poster or oral talk. We enjoyed the discussions with colleagues and hope for further collaboration with the departments at MIT Nagaoka university.
