We are a scientific department within the Institute of Physics of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
As the name suggests, we focus in the research of magneto-optical phenomenae of solid state materials, using the Kerr and Faraday effects to investigate, characterize and utilize the magnetic properties of materials and their interaction with light. Our research involves studing the bandgap structures, optical responses and determining the full permitivitty tensor of magnetic elements and compound, including garnets, ferromagnetics and antiferromagnets.
